Who does Roman Reigns want to face as a heel superstar?

What's the story?

Roman Reigns may be seen as one of the biggest babyfaces in the company right now but given the fact that he is booed more than any star in the company it would make sense for the company to turn him heel.

In case you didn't know...

Roman Reigns has been pushed to the top of the company ever since The Shield split in the summer of 2014, despite the fact that Reigns has the backing of some of the most respected officials in WWE, the WWE Universe are not as accepting.

There have been a number of moments over the past year where WWE could have turned the former World Champion heel, but opted not too, which is quite hard to understand, since Reigns is regularly booed out of every arena he steps into.

The heart of the matter

Reign recently spoke to Express UK as part of the European Tour where he talked about turning heel and the fact that he would love to feud with Daniel Bryan if the opportunity arose.

"Y’all want to see me turn heel, put me in the ring with Daniel Bryan. It’s just about reactions. We can talk about so many different things about wrestling and the things that make the art form and performance. But the way he’s able to affect and control the crowd is very cool and to go and share the ring with someone like that, and obviously the reactions and the way I stir up the crowd, I think it would make for a pretty dynamic and electric atmosphere."

Reigns and Bryan are considered to be two of WWE's biggest babyfaces right now and the former World Champion has high praise for Bryan.

"Bryan is one of the best ever to step in the ring. I have a lot of respect for him. To see someone like him who’s on top and to have it all taken away so fast is very scary. It’s very cool to see him back and to have his talents back on the roster and back in that ring helping and contributing to the business that we both love. I think it would be pretty neat to be able to be in the ring with him."

What's next?

Reigns recently stepped into a feud with Jinder Mahal which is expected to last over the next few months, since he recently lost the chance to be part of the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Author's take

Reigns and Bryan would have a fantastic feud and the former World Champion is correct in assuming that someone like Bryan would be able to turn him heel. That would be the perfect swerve if Reigns was set to turn heel in the near future, at this point Reigns would find being heel much easier than being face since he's become accustomed to being booed.
