Ronda Rousey will sign her contract tonight

What's the story?

Since her Royal Rumble appearance, the world of wrestling and mainstream sport has been abuzz with predictions and speculation about Ronda Rousey's role in WWE.

Well, ahead of the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion signing her contract at Elimination Chamber tonight, she's finally spoken out.

In case you didn't know...

After sporadic appearances on WWE television at WrestleMania 31 and in a backstage segment during the Mae Young Classic, Ronda Rousey finally made her "debut" as a WWE signing to close out the Royal Rumble PPV, interrupting the celebration of the women's Rumble winner, Asuka.

It would later emerge that the final details of her contract were still being polished, though, with the official signing happening at tonight's pay-per-view.

The heart of the matter

Well, the former UFC star has taken to social media to talk about her upcoming appearance at Elimination Chamber where she officially becomes a member of the WWE Raw roster - with a debut Raw appearance allegedly slated for tomorrow night.

What's next?

Well, the WWE Universe won't have to wait too long to see Ronda Rousey again with the Elimination Chamber just hours away.

Amidst talk of where Rousey fits into the WrestleMania card and whether she will appear on RAW tomorrow, her appearance tonight is certain - but will it be a straightforward contract signing? We'll have to wait to find out...

Author's take

I can't wait to see what happens when Ronda Rousey appears tonight. A lot of people were upset when she didn't appear on Raw or SmackDown after the Royal Rumble - but it was pretty much certain she was already committed to filming and wouldn't arrive for a while. If reports are to believed now, though, WWE is her priority and tonight is essentially the start of her WWE career.

Will she call out anyone at the event? Will we get another physical interaction with Stephanie McMahon? Or, my outside bet, will she interfere in the Nia Jax v Asuka match?

One thing is for sure, the addition of Ronda Rousey makes this event a must-watch for WWE and UFC fans alike.
