#4 Could Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre become legendary WWE rivals one day?

While Roman Reigns is currently the Universal Champion on WWE SmackDown, Drew McIntyre has been feuding with Jinder Mahal over on Monday Night RAW.

Former WWE manager Ricardo Rodriguez was recently interviewed by Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta. On the subject of whether Reigns and McIntyre could re-create a modern-day Austin vs. The Rock rivalry, Rodriguez elaborated on how that might happen at some point down the road.

“It can be, it totally can be [modern-day The Rock vs. Steve Austin],” said Ricardo Rodriguez. “Eventually, once you put them together in a program, and maybe, I don’t know, I’m not sure, but maybe they have long-term plans to do this, build Drew on RAW and then build Roman on SmackDown, to the point where if you remember back then John Cena was on one brand and then Randy Orton was on the other. And then they built them separately and eventually they put them together, and they became who they became.”

McIntyre and Reigns fought each other at last year's Survivor Series event, where the latter emerged victorious from a critically acclaimed encounter.

Rodriguez added that both men could clash again one day.

“Maybe, maybe that’s what they’re doing again.” Rodriguez continued, “They’re building Roman on SmackDown and they’re gonna build Drew on RAW. Then eventually they’re gonna put them together. Hopefully, maybe, so that could be a possibility.”

In each of their one-on-one WWE matches thus far, Roman Reigns has always defeated Drew McIntyre. Could The Scottish Warrior pick up a win if they meet again inside the squared circle?
