#4. Vince McMahon's take on the Becky Lynch-Seth Rollins WWE storyline
Back when Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were babyfaces in 2019, the real-life couple had a storyline together on WWE television. It saw them join forces, leading to a mixed tag team match against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
Lynch recently said on the SI Media Podcast that she was worried at the time about only being seen as Rollins' girlfriend. However, Vince McMahon told her that their storyline dynamic would be the other way around instead.
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
"When Colby [Rollins' real name] and I were together on-screen, which was very well received... and beforehand, I said to myself, 'I'm worried that I'm just gonna be Seth Rollins' girlfriend,' [and Vince McMahon went], 'Seth is Becky's boyfriend!' So that's the first thing that came to the top of my head," Lynch said.
The WWE couple has wrestled in three mixed tag team matches and have won every time together.
#3. Dutch Mantell's honest thoughts on SmackDown star Aliyah
One of SmackDown's newest talents, Aliyah, recently picked up a pinfall victory in her first televised match since the 2021 WWE Draft.
Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell reviewed her performance in the six-person tag team match, which went down on the November 12th episode of the Blue brand. The wrestling veteran expressed that Aliyah can significantly improve as an overall WWE competitor if higher-ups don't give up on her in the long run.
"As far as I'm looking at her, if she's had 7 years' experience, she's still very iffy. She will be better. I'm watching her tonight and I'm thinking that girl is not quite ready to be in that spot. But she may be and I read it wrong. If she's had 7 years, it seemed like she would be more fluid. But, good looking girl, and she'll get over if they stay with her," Mantell said.
Aliyah, who was initially on the WWE SmackDown Women's Survivor Series team, got unfairly removed from her position by on-screen official Sonya Deville. It will be interesting to see whether or not she can regain her spot on the team before this year's Survivor Series pay-per-view.
