#1 WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston wants to face The Elite from AEW

Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston was a guest on the Battleground Podcast recently. Kingston talked about the possibility of a match between The New Day and the team of Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega known as The Elite from AEW. He said that they have often talked about having that match one day.

"We talk about working with The Elite all the time. We talk about having a six-man [tag team match] with The Elite, that would be great. We kind of touched it when we played Street Fighter, and that wasn't supposed to happen. We thought at some point it would be pulled, but here we are man, it's crazy. It's a good thing."

With the 'Forbidden Door' now open, the possibilities are endless. The company recently announced that IMPACT Wrestling's Mickie James will be part of the upcoming Royal Rumble match. Kingston said that it's very apt that James is the first person to come through the forbidden door.
