#4. AEW's Hook gets compared to WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg

Hook has quickly risen to become one of AEW's most exciting prospects, and his ascend has already been compared to WWE's Goldberg.

Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter made the comparison during this week's episode of Smack Talk with Dutch Mantell.

Since his in-ring debut, Hook has been booked as a dominant performer, and Taz's son most recently picked up a convincing win over Serpentico. The brief squash match made Hook look like a million bucks, and Apter saw shades of Goldberg in AEW's treatment of the young wrestler:

"He's becoming the Goldberg; he's Hookberg," stated Bill Apter.

Apter's comments came after Dutch Mantell praised AEW for doing the right thing by having Hook go over Serpentico in a short yet aggressive contest.

"They did the right thing with Hook tonight too...Short and aggressive [on his match against Serpentico]. That made it better. All that stuff was going everywhere, and he was around Hook, and it made it look like it was out of control, and it was, but it looked good," Dutch Mantell said.

Hook has won many admirers in record time as he is on course to be one of AEW's top guys in the future.

For several years now, reports of WWE being possibly up for sale have been heavily discussed in wrestling circles. Rumors have gathered steam of late following the release of several talents as many people believe Vince McMahon is setting up the promotion to have new owners.

Booker T revealed on his podcast that even if WWE ends up with a new boss, the promotion would be somewhat secretive about the sale.

The Hall of Famer said officials would refrain from going public about their business dealings to preserve locker room morale.

Here's what Booker T had to say about the possible sale of WWE:

"I'm going to tell you something: if they were selling the company, they are going to keep it quiet," Booker T said. "And the thing is, that's not something you want to go promoting to the world or anything like that or even your employees. You don't want to bring morale down no more than perhaps it already is or anything like that. As well, it might be one of those things where the sale might not go through," explained Booker T.
