WWE writers didn't have anything for Aleister Black
Aleister Black was one of several WWE Superstars who were released by the company last week. His exit came as a shock to the WWE Universe as he had just returned on SmackDown. The viewers had high hopes for his feud with Big E, but he had to leave before anything could transpire between them.

Always felt me and Claudio, as Europeans, had something to prove. We never spared each other because we wanted to make sure we did the Regals, Finlays and Brooksides that came before us proud. Great memories. Cesaro is one of my favorite opponents. https://t.co/qqQw0Uj9tJ
According to Dave Meltzer of WON, Black was released because Vince McMahon couldn’t understand his style. He also suggested that there were issues with the WWE writing team.
''In the case of there were issues with the writing staff, but in the end, he and Murphy were both wrestlers where Vince McMahon was said to not understand their style of wrestling. There is no word on if these cuts will affect talks to bring his wife, Thea Trinidad Budgen, back, which was the idea last week,” said Dave Meltzer.

I appreciate all the support over the past few days. Still feeling good, motivated and driven. A huge sense of relief came and the realization that with cuffs and restrictions I could create all that, cuffs that I now no longer have. Feeling pride in all I have done and will do.
Following his release, Aleister Black went live on Twitch, where he was asked about his relationship with Vince McMahon. The former WWE Superstar stated that they shared a good, professional equation. However, Meltzer insisted that the WWE Chairman had issues with Black’s gimmick and made the final call to fire him.
