WWE News: Sam Roberts to be guest host on Roadblock pre-show
WWE lands one of the finest guest hosts they can find for Roadblock: End Of The Line.
WWE started a trend in December where they get guest panellists from various backgrounds and areas to join the Pre-show panel alongside Renee Young and Booker T (and another WWE on-air Personality).
For the upcoming Pay-Per-View, Roadblock: End Of The Line, the guest host is none other than long-time broadcast journalist and wrestling podcast host Sam Roberts.
Roberts first made the announcement of his upcoming appearance at Roadblock: End Of The Line on his show with Jim Norton and took to social media to announce the realisation of his dream:
Couldn't be happier to announce (as I did on @jimandsamshow today) that this Sunday I will be a part of the pre-show panel for @wwe #RoadBlock live on the @wwenetwork. I don't exaggerate when I say this is a dream come true. I can't wait to work with @reneeyoungwwe, @bookertfivex and everyone else on the panel, and am so thankful to everyone inside and outside WWE for helping to make this happen. I'm also thankful for all of my friends and family who trusted that the HOURS of the days, months, and years, of my life spent watching WWE could amount to something amazing. Can't wait for Sunday...
Roberts has been in the radio business for over 11 years. He is a long-time wrestling fanatic and even hosts his own wrestling podcast known as Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast. Sam’s wrestling podcast has one of the largest followings in the professional wrestling world.
He brings in a guest for every episode, and more often than not it is a big WWE wrestler, former wrestler, or even an on-air personality. He also brings in independent wrestlers more often than not and gives them a platform to tell their story.
He used to host The Sam Roberts Show for a year, and from October he started to co-host a program known as the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show, which airs daily. He hosts the program with world-famous comedian Jim Norton.
Earlier this month for TLC, WWE brought in Peter Rosenberg from ESPN and ESPN’s Cheap Heat Podcast as their first guest host:
