WWE News: See Shane McMahon's wife react to him jumping off the cell at HIAC

What's the story?

If you had to make a list of things you'd not want to witness your significant other doing I'd fully expect seeing them willingly jump off of the top of a 20-foot steel cage structure and crash through a WWE announce table would be fairly high on it. But that's exactly what Shane McMahon's wife, Marissa, had to see at WWE Hell In a Cell 2017.

In case you didn't know...

SmackDown LIVE saw one of the most personal feuds the WWE has had in recent times when Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon would clash over a number of months with the SmackDown LIVE boss 'costing' Kevin Owens matches, and Owens, in retaliation, directly attacking McMahon and his family, including WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

This rivalry would culminate in a match between Shane-O-Mac and Kevin Owens in the devil's playground, the Hell in a Cell. The match was brutal from start to finish with Shane and Owens using all manner of weapons against each other, both putting themselves through tables after falling off the side, and even dishing out a prolonged amount of damage in a suspenseful period of time on top of the structure itself.

However, the moment that everyone is talking about, is when Shane McMahon took to the roof of the cell once more after placing Kevin Owens on an announce table and then attempting to hit a death-defying elbow drop, all whilst his wife and kids watched on in horror.

The heart of the matter

We've seen a bunch of different angles of Shane McMahon's crazy jump from the cell, and we've seen Shane McMahon's son react to Sami Zayn's interference in the match, but I think this fan footage video is currently the best view we have of Marissa McMahon's reaction to her husband's huge spot, and as you can see, she's understandably not very comfortable.

What's next?

WWE has revealed that following this brutal spot that Shane McMahon has been rushed to a local medical facility after suffering a number of injuries including broken ribs and a separated shoulder

This means that WWE is likely going to use this opportunity to write Shane McMahon off of television and potentially shake the leadership on SmackDown LIVE up a bit.
