Unfortunately, the Architect will never wrestle HBK

What's the story?

In an interview with 107.7 the Bone, Seth Rollins revealed his dream opponent for Wrestlemania: Shawn Michaels. HBK or Mr Wrestlemania, as he is popularly known, is the Architect's choice for a match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

In case you didn't know...

Seth Rollins has done quite well for himself at the Showcase of the Immortals. At WrestleMania 30, he dominated with The Shield, and at WrestleMania 31, he won the WWE Championship after a Money in the Bank cash-in.

Even though he had to sit on the sidelines for WrestleMania 32, he scored a big victory over Triple H at WrestleMania 33 this year.

The heart of the matter

Seth Rollins has managed to accomplish a lot in his WWE career. He has been touted as an ambitious individual, and it comes as no surprise that he has a big dream match in mind for Wrestlemania, even though it is unlikely to ever happen.

In an interview with 107.7 The Bone, he said:

"Shawn Michaels…he’s always my answer just because he’s my favorite wrestler ever, and I think he’s just the best. I’d love to go out there and tear it up with him at Wrestlemania; you know they don’t call him Mr. Wrestlemania for no reason. The guy is just incredible at what he does, and obviously, I could learn a lot being in the ring with him, but it would just be fantastic to get out there and have a match with him.”

What's next?

Seth Rollins is currently embroiled in a program with Dean Ambrose, his former Shield partner in the tag team division. It remains to be seen when he will be inserted into the singles picture again.

Author's take

Seth Rollins is one of the most well-rounded wrestlers on the WWE roster. A match against a legend of Shawn Michaels' calibre sounds incredible and would be a treat for pro-wrestling fans worldwide.
