WWE News: Seth Rollins slams "jealous" critics of his and Becky Lynch's relationship

What's the story?

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have become the de facto King and Queen of WWE RAW after the company decided to acknowledge their relationship onscreen and had the two wrestle together.

However, this has also led to the real-life couple receiving criticism from fans and wrestling journalists alike, such as the Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez, who believe they have "no chemistry". That was something that Rollins wasn't very happy about at all when he addressed it in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times.

In case you didn't know...

Seth Rollins faced Baron Corbin for the Universal Title at Stomping Grounds with Lacey Evans as special guest referee (Evans had previously lost a Raw Women's title challenge against Becky Lynch earlier in the night). Evans and Corbin worked together to screw Rollins until Lynch came out and made the save, leading to him retaining the title.

The two would then team up against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at Extreme Rules, with both the Universal title and Raw Women's title on the line. However while the couple were successful during the match, Baron Corbin would hit Lynch with the End of Days and, shortly afterwards, Brock Lesnar would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to take Rollins' Universal title.

The heart of the matter

In the interview with Tampa Bay Times Rollins was asked if he'd like to address the critics that say he and Becky Lynch don't have good chemistry, this was his response.

I think those critics might be a little jealous. I think that’s where a lot of that stems from.

I mean, if I’m a dude and I’m watching television, and I have a crush on Becky Lynch, I’m probably not going to be to fond of the guy who’s dating her either, so I get that.

We have such great chemistry, I think it’s funny that people think we don’t. Either way it amuses me.

What's next?

Do you agree with the critics or do you think Seth Rollins has a point? Either way it doesn't matter because they're in a relationship so there's clearly some chemistry there, regardless of whether or not it comes across onscreen!
