WWE News: Seth Rollins speaks about which female superstar he wants in The Shield

Could you imagine one of the girls in this faction?

What's the story?

Seth Rollins was a guest on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, where he was asked which female superstar would be ideal for The Shield. The Kingslayer named "The Boss", Sasha Banks, as the most likely contender to replace Roman Reigns in The Shield.

However, he did confess that it was only because she was around. Wonder who he would have picked in a completely neutral environment.

In case you didn't know...

The Shield is the most popular faction in modern wrestling comprising of three breakout singles stars -- Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and "The Big Dog", Roman Reigns.

While 2/3rd of The Shield has united, "The Big Dog" still defends his yard as a singles performer. This has led to many people wondering who could fill the void, if the trio were to rule the roost, one more time.

The heart of the matter

Seth named "The Legit Boss" as the ideal successor to Vince McMahon's favourite superstar:

"Why am I replacing Roman? Alright. Well, she's in the back. 'The Boss,' back there, would make a hell of a tag team partner. I think we'd be alright. So yeah, I'll go with her for now because she's here."

While he said so jokingly, what do you think of Banks joining The Shield? Do you think there's a woman who can fit better than she can? Let us know in the comments.

What's next?

Sasha Banks still has a rematch clause left for the Raw Women's Championship that she lost last week, and we presume she will challenge Alexa Bliss yet again.

We doubt that joining The Shield is one of the plans in her immediate future.

Author's take

As amusing as it would be to see Sasha Banks entering from the crowd with Ambrose and Rollins in a bulletproof vest, it's better as a 'what if'.

Some things in professional wrestling are sacred and should not be messed with. The two men are enjoying their tag team run, and we think they should be allowed to continue for a while.
