What's the story?

Finn Balor managed to defeat Seth Rollins last week on Raw with a quick roll-up pin and it seems that this doesn't sit too well with The Architect.

In case you didn't know...

The Miz defends his Intercontinental Championship against both Balor and Rollins at WrestleMania in less than three weeks time and, it seems that the tension is heating up between the two men who first collided for the Universal Championship back at SummerSlam in 2016.

Balor suffered an injury in that match that sidelined him until The Raw after WrestleMania last year and Rollins later reinjured his knee and, the duo was then forced to rehab together and even spent Valentines Day 2017 together as they worked on their respective injuries. When Balor did return to WWE, it was as Rollins partner in a match against Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens, which shows that these two men definitely have a history.

The heart of the matter

Despite their history over the past few years, Rollins and Balor know that it will be every man for himself next month at WrestleMania and it seems that both men are focused on having the momentum heading into the biggest event of the year.

Rollins saved Balor from The Miztourage this week on Raw, but as the former World Champion explains in the video above, he didn't actually save Balor, he was there to send a message to the inaugural Universal Champion. Rollins wants a rematch with Balor and one way or another he will get it before their clash at WrestleMania.

What's next?

Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and The Miz will collide in less than three weeks time at WrestleMania 34 with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.

Author's take

Balor and Rollins are the kind of stars who could fight forever and always have a fantastic match. Balor did get quite a cheap win over Rollins last week, so it will be interesting to see if Rollins can regain that momentum if he's able to get the rematch he desires in the next two weeks.
