WWE News: Seth Rollins, Wesley Snipes starring in movie

Seth Rollins has been out of action since injuring his knee in November.

Seth Rollins might not be quite ready to return to WWE programming, but he’ll be starting on his first movie soon.

According to a report from WrestlingInc.com, a news release announced that Rollins would star alongside Wesley Snipes, Anne Heche and Dave Annable in a film called “Temple.” The movie is a production of Erebus Pictures, a brand formed by the collaboration that includes Gene Simmons and WWE Studios, and centers on four “trained operatives” trapped in a military compound. Filming is set to begin on Wednesday, April 6.

Snipes is perhaps best known for his work in the “Blade” movies, while Heche was seen in films like “John Q” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Annable stars in the FOX series “Red Band Society.”

Rollins was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for 220 days until he suffered a knee injury in November 2015 during a live event in Dublin, Ireland. The timetable for his return was originally said to be six to nine months, but he reportedly returned to in-ring training in March, which led some to speculate that he might be back in action earlier than expected.
