The Shield is back and they look great

What’s the story?

This week’s RAW was certainly one to enjoy, especially if you are a fan of The Shield as the trio of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose reunited.

The trio did have a major say on the proceedings as they destroyed The Miz and Braun Strowman, later on, but Seth Rollins had even more up his sleeve as he wore Kalisto’s gear during his dark main event after RAW.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE had been teasing the return of The Hounds of Justice for a couple of weeks and it finally took place as the team were also named in a special 4-on-3 handicap TLC match against Cesaro, Sheamus, The Miz and Braun Strowman.

The heart of the matter

The dark main event featured the RAW Tag Team Champions, Rollins and Ambrose, facing off against Cesaro and Sheamus.

Rollins was wearing part of the Kalisto’s gear and, according to Wrestling Inc, Rollins also started a “Lucha” chant.

What’s next?

TLC will feature a massive 4-on-3 match on 22 October and, more importantly, it will be interesting to see just how Strowman and everyone else react to The Shield on next week’s RAW.

There will be more destruction for sure as Reigns will also take on Strowman in a steel cage match.

Author’s take

This certainly was one brilliant RAW episode for those who were expecting a Shield reunion and boy did they get it. It might have been a little upsetting to not see the trio in a match but their trail of destruction was more than a sight to behold.

Rollins and Ambrose will have a large part to play in the upcoming weeks as they are the Tag Team Champions. The Architect is known for a few high-flying moves and he might have been influenced by the previous match where Kalisto picked up the Cruiserweight title from Enzo Amore.
