A dream match between two amazing wrestlers took place during the recent edition of NXT to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship. The former Champion, Finn Balor faced the King of strong style, Shinsuke Nakamura to get another shot at the NXT title.
After an awesome encounter, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Nakamura emerged victorious. Wrestlinginc.com reports that with the end of this match, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that Shinsuke Nakamura will challenge for Samoa Joe's NXT Championship at the NXT "Takeover: Back to Brooklyn" event which will take place on August 20th, prior to WWE SummerSlam.
As Finn Balor lost another opportunity at the NXT Title, it adds to the speculation that his main roster debut in WWE is coming closer. There are possibilities of the Demon appearing on the main shows after the WWE Draft takes place next week on the live edition of SmackDown.
Before this match took place, the current Champion Samoa Joe was confronted by Rhyno who also demanded an oppurtunity at the top prize of NXT. Although the champion decided to leave the ring, it was announced that Joe will have to face Rhyno next week on NXT. There were other matches that were taped for this week's show but WWE didn’t air them.
