In an interview with ESPN, The Miz opened up on a myriad of topics.
The Miz asserted that he’d most definitely be with his wife Maryse when she gives birth to their daughter this spring. Besides, The Miz spoke about headlining Wrestlemania with the WWE Intercontinental title, as well as the positive fan-reaction he received after his recent return.

The Miz recently returned to the WWE after a 6-week absence from RAW, as he was busy filming the latest installment of The Marine movie franchise.
The WWE’s A-Lister was the recipient of a warm welcome from the WWE Universe, as ‘Welcome back’ chants echoed throughout the arena upon his on-screen return.
The heart of the matter
The Miz explained that he and Maryse are expecting their daughter to be born this spring, around Wrestlemania time, and he has a private jet on call so he can fly from whichever city the WWE has an event transpiring in, back to his wife. The reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion added that he wants to be a father who’s always there to support and guide his daughter, and will be with Maryse to witness the birth of their first child.
The Miz noted how his heroes—legends such as The Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude held the WWE Intercontinental title. He stated:
"The last time I got it, I literally said I (was) sick of people looking at this as just a placeholder, as like a whatever title. I want people to understand that when you hold that title, it is prestigious, it is relevant, it has a rich history and that's what I set out to do.
I think I've been doing a pretty good job of it, but I'm not done until I'm main-eventing WrestleMania with the Intercontinental championship."
Furthermore, The Miz elucidated that he was a tad surprised when the fans welcomed him with cheers upon his recent return.
Miz noted that although Brock Lesnar was gone longer than he was, they never chanted for Lesnar, but simply cheered The Miz; further accentuating the fact that the A-Lister is an important piece of the puzzle on Monday Night RAW.

The Miz, who won the WWE Intercontinental title by defeating Roman Reigns at RAW 25 earlier this week, is expected to receive a major push this year.
