What's the story?
RAW Superstar The Miz, who has been off WWE TV since November filming WWE Studios' movie The Marine 6: Close Quarters, has used Twitter to celebrate RollingStone.com choosing him as their 'WWE Wrestler of the Year'.
The seven-time Intercontinental Champion took the opportunity to rub the accolade in the face of current IC Champion, Roman Reigns, and he had some harsh words for his rival.

In case you didn't know...
The Miz has had a rather interesting 2017.
From wrestling against John Cena and Nikki Bella along with his wife Maryse at WrestleMania 33 after a bitter and tense feud which saw some amazing promos to winning the IC Championship on multiple occasions, to giving Dean Ambrose The Miz Participation Award, to forming The Miztourage with Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
The Miz has made everything he has touched entertaining, whether on RAW or SmackDown, and his efforts to make the IC Title the most important and prestigious thing in WWE have seen fans recognize how great The Miz is in that dastardly and cowardly heel role.
On the episode of RAW after Survivor Series (November 20th), WWE wrote The Miz off of RAW in order so he could film The Marine 6 (a film he is starring in with fellow WWE Superstar Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels).
The A-Lister lost his IC Title to Roman Reigns and then he was Triple-Powerbombed through the RAW announcers' table by the Big Dog and the rest of The Shield.
On December 19th, Rolling Stones uploaded an article on their website which announced that they have chosen The Miz as their WWE Wrestler of 2017 which is a pretty big deal.
The heart of the matter
In his Tweet, The Miz took shots at Roman Reigns by stating that you 'don't win Wrestler of the Year by wearing your own merch or tactical vests, this in reference to what Reigns wears in the ring.
The Miz claimed that you 'become Wrestler of the Year by' daily overachieving at 'everything you do'.
The soon father-to-be promised Reigns that RAW will be 'his show again' when he rearrives on RAW and that he will be taking the Intercontinental Championship back too.
He then finished the tweet off by thanking Rolling Stone for the 'honour' and sarcastically telling Reigns that 'maybe' he'll be picked as Wrestler Of The Year next year.
What's next?
The Miz will likely return to RAW next week if we are to believe the rumours, as filming for The Marine 6 has concluded.
We can entail from his tweet that Miz will be presumably confronting Roman Reigns to ask for his IC Title rematch, possibly for the Royal Rumble PPV.
However, Samoa Joe has been feuding with Reigns over the last couple of weeks, therefore, maybe we could see a triple threat title bout which involves Joe, Miz and Reigns at the PPV.
Author's take
It was great to see The Miz gain some acclaim (no rhyme intended) for his work over the past year.
Often times, The Mi has been overlooked in terms of praise from the wrestling world and the WWE Universe, but this year has seen a lot more people give The Miz some credit.
I would love to see him get back the IC Title from Reigns once he returns, as only The Miz makes that belt mean anything special.
But he will probably have to go through The Samoan Bulldozer too.
