What’s the story?

The Miz recently spoke to Sports Illustrated, revealing that he’d love a match against Daniel Bryan.

In reference to the same, The Miz asserted that should Daniel Bryan be medically cleared to compete, he’d love to go against the highly-regarded in-ring technician.

In case you didn’t know…

The Miz and Daniel Bryan have shared a great on-screen rivalry with one another; particularly during the former’s time on SmackDown Live.

However, outside the ring, both Superstars share a ton of respect for each other; as evidenced by the praise emanating from both sides.

The heart of the matter

The Miz was asked whether he’s spoken to Daniel Bryan about the latter potentially returning to in-ring competition; in response to which the A-Lister stated—

“I would love to beat him up. I would love to beat him up in a WWE ring; all day; every day.”

“I know he’s working tremendously hard to get back in the WWE ring…I would love to have a match with Daniel Bryan; he’s one of the best in-ring technicians that WWE has ever seen, and I would like to showcase how much better I am than him.”

Furthermore, The Miz explained that he isn’t privy about what the plans are for Bryan; adding that the ‘Flying Goat’ is highly passionate in his work in the WWE ring both as a General Manager as well as a professional wrestler. He added that should the doctors clear Bryan for a comeback to the ring, he’d love to kick and hit the latter with a Skull Crushing Finale.

What’s next?

The Miz presently competes for the WWE’s RAW brand; most recently having lost his Intercontinental Championship to Roman Reigns on this week’s episode of RAW.

On the other hand, Daniel Bryan serves as the General Manager of SmackDown Live; but has reiterated his intentions of returning to professional wrestling competition either inside or outside the WWE.
