What's the story?

In February news broke that WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso was arrested after he and his wife, Naomi, were involved in a traffic stop by police, with the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Champion allegedly acting aggressively towards police officers. However, the footage of the 'altercation' has now been released via Fightful, revealing what really happened!

In case you didn't know...

As we reported, it was alleged that police had to pull out a taser to calm the situation after an agitated Uso left his care and prepared to fight them. Uso was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice and would post bail in Detroit.

WWE released a statement referring to the event shortly afterwards to PWInsider saying “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Some believed this news would adversely affect Jimmy and Jey Uso's push. However days later the two became SmackDown Tag-Team Champions, and they're currently heading into WrestleMania with the belts.

The heart of the matter

The footage, obtained by NBC 4 shows a small amount of the full traffic stop and subsequent arrest as caught on camera by the officer's bodycams. The aggressive behaviour from Uso that was initially described cannot be seen, In the footage that is shown at least.

Now, it's possible that some parts have been omitted, but from what we do see, both Naomi and Jimmy Uso seem to be behaving calmly and co-cooperatively.

What's next?

The Usos are certainly no stranger to being on the alleged wrong side of the law as Jey Uso was arrested last year for drinking while under the influence. Hopefully the two can stay out of the actual penitentiary enough to continue their run as one of the best tag-teams in the world in WWE going forward. Starting with the rumored title defense at WrestleMania against Matt and Jeff Hardy.
