The Usos and Rollins & Ambrose exchange potshots; could this be a potential lead up to a Survivor Series clash?

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose after their title win at Summerslam

What's the story?

The Smackdown tag team champs, The Usos, and the RAW tag champs, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have begun to take shots at each other over the past few Live Events.

The Usos started this with a tweet when they said that they were going to come after the RAW tag belts as well.

In case you didn't know.....

Both The Usos and Rollins & Ambrose won their Tag Titles of Smackdown and RAW at Summerslam. Ever since the tweet with the WWE poll went up, both the teams have started a feud with each other through live shows.

The two teams have a lot of momentum and are the leading teams on their own shows, but they seem to have now focused on each other instead.

The heart of the matter

The Usos called out the RAW tag team champions at Smackdown's Baton Rouge Live event. They said that they were the best tag team, and seemingly laid down a challenge to Seth and Dean by saying that they could be found at Smackdown at any point in time.

Seth did not really wait long to respond and from the RAW live event at Jonesboro he said that the real tag champs were on RAW, referring to Dean and himself.

WWE might be building up a RAW vs Smackdown tag division feud for Survivor Series, where the two tag divisions could take each other on in a multi tag team elimination match.

What's next?

There is still a long time to go for Survivor Series, with the pay-per-view date set for 19th of November this year. This feud could easily continue for that long, and with the rumoured Superstar Shakeup not so far away, it could be easily used to further the feud.

This post Summerslam video of Seth and Dean claiming to own tag team wrestling might just be what set off this feud.

Author's take

It is too soon to say that this actually is a Survivor Series build up, as there is a long time to go. However, with the official WWE Twitter account releasing those videos, these challenges will obviously lead to something.

Rollins and Ambrose are a fresh team, newly reunited and have all the hype behind them. The Usos have also recently rejuvenated themselves and with the win over The New Day, they have a lot of momentum.

The clash between these two would be extraordinary and make any meeting at Survivor Series something to wait for.
