Becky Lynch and Paige have quite the history!
Becky Lynch and Paige have quite the history!

What's the story?

Thanks to NoDQ who alerted me to this. A throwback picture of Becky Lynch and Paige has emerged from the time that they worked the independents.

Both women would go on to attain great success in the WWE. But here's a picture from the time that Becky Lynch managed Paige in Shimmer.

Can you recognise both women?

In case you didn't know...

Becky Lynch and Paige both worked the independent wrestling circuit for ages before they arrived in NXT. Paige hails from a wrestling family and has been competing since the time she was but a child.

While in WWE, Becky Lynch and Paige were both in a faction called Team PCB. Becky Lynch is currently the hottest star in WWE and is possibly in the main event of WrestleMania 35 against Ronda Rousey.

Paige, on the other hand, had to retire from the ring owing to injuries she's sustained through her long and illustrious career.

The heart of the matter

Paige used to wrestle under the name Britani Knight when she worked for Shimmer. At this time, the two women were aligned in a unit that was known as 'The Knight Dynasty'.

This team used to be managed by Rebecca Knox, which is Becky Lynch's real name and the name she used in the independents. The video below shows them in action, and it's a nice throwback if you consider how far both women have come since then.

Considering that Paige has retired from the ring, maybe the roles could be reversed and perhaps, Paige could manage Lynch sometime down the line.

What's next?

Paige is busy promoting the film about her life. Becky Lynch is nursing a kayfabe injury but is scheduled to be on RAW this week. I'm certain that both women will have many interesting collaborations through the course of their amazing, illustrious careers.

Think Paige will ever wrestle again? Let us know in the comments.
