What’s the story?

As per a recent report from Squared Circle Sirens, Mae Young Classic competitor and current PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Champion Toni Storm is apparently being advertised to compete for the WWE during their forthcoming tour of the United Kingdom.

In case you didn’t know…

Toni Storm is currently considered one of the most standout female competitors in the world of Professional Wrestling today and the 22-year-old Kiwi superstar is most notably known for her work for promotions such as World Wonder Ring Stardom and PROGRESS Wrestling.

However, in the past, Storm has also competed for the WWE when she took part in a tryout camp in Melbourne on the 2014 WWE Australian tour and the 2015 WWE UK tour as well. The former SWA World Champion also took part in WWE’s inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament, where she reached the semifinals before being eliminated by Kairi Sane.

The heart of the matter

During WWE’s recent live event in Bournemouth, UK, the company officials apparently played an advert in order to hype up the upcoming WWE tour of the United Kingdom which is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 18th, and Tuesday, June 19th at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

Apparently, during the video, several WWE UK stars such as the likes of Wolfgang, Mark Andrews, Tucker Night, and The British Strong Style were all confirmed to make an appearance during the two shows in the UK and in addition, current PROGRESS Women’s Champion and wXw Women’s Champion Toni Storm was also seemingly confirmed for the two events as well.

As some fans might recall, Toni Storm also recently competed in a WWE ring at WrestleMania Axxess where she successfully defended the PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Championship against NXT’s Lacey Evans.

What’s next?

Toni Storm is currently slated to defend the PROGRESS Women’s Title against Jinny at PROGRESS Chapter 69: Be Here Now.
