Even an Alice in Chains shirt did not keepThe Miz from getting booed.
Even an Alice in Chains shirt did not keep The Miz from getting booed.

What's the story?

Current WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz was interviewed at the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards, shortly after he was booed by the entire music fraternity. He told the interviewer present that he was the best talker of all time, not only in WWE but 'the world'.

He also gave the interviewer some tips on how to be as good as he is on the microphone. Needless to say, she didn't quite match up to the A-Lister.

In case you didn't know...

The Miz has been one of the mainstays of WWE in the modern era of the company. He currently holds the Intercontinental Championship and is set to compete in a battle of the brands at Survivor Series, this weekend.

While The Miz has been acknowledged as one of the modern masters of the microphone, what really put him on the map was his appearance on Talking Smack last year, when he ran roughshod on Daniel Bryan.

The heart of the matter

While the claim may be hyperbole in its own right, saying that he is the best on the microphone is part of the Miz's charm and gimmick.

Rocking an Alice in Chains shirt, he also put over guitarist Zakk Wylde, whom you may remember as the previous guitarist of the legendary heavy metaller, Ozzy Osbourne.

The Miz also spoke about how rock and metal music translates to great entrances for WWE performers. If you haven't checked out the interview linked above, please do so now!

What's next?

The Miz takes on United States Champion Baron Corbin in a champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series 2017, in a battle for brand pride.

Author's take

I don't think The Miz is necessarily the greatest talker of all time, but he's certainly in the top ten, in my humble estimation. It's not something one can necessarily quantify. One thing I do agree on is that The Miz is 'awesome'.
