What’s the story?

In a latest heartfelt Instagram post, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus decided to show her gratitude as towards all the women of the WWE for making the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match such a historic moment.

In case you didn’t know…

Former WWE Women’s Champion and one of the pioneers of the Women’s division Trish Stratus made her return to the WWE this past Sunday as part of the first ever female Royal Rumble match. Trish, who last competed in a WWE ring back in 2011, entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant at number 30. After entering the Rumble match, Stratus also scored two eliminations as she eliminated Mickie James and Natalya, however, the former WWE Hardcore Champion was eventually eliminated by “The Boss” Sasha Banks.

The heart of the matter

In her Instagram post, Trish decided to send out a genuine and sincere message to the ladies of the WWE, who allowed Trish to be a part of such a monumental night this past Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center. Trish added that, by bringing together the past and the present of the WWE, the women have successfully cemented the foundation that they have worked so hard to build.

Additionally, the former seven-time Women’s Champion also wrote that she loved seeing such passion and love from each of the female stars in the WWE today and she is proud of watching all these amazing women perform in the ring. Lastly, Trish Stratus also motivated all the women stars by asking them to keep this ball rolling by developing their characters and skills.

Following Trish Stratus’ in-ring return, we now hope that we get to see more of the former Women’s Champion inside a WWE ring, in the near future once again.

The women of the WWE have definitely not failed to deliver once again and they certainly did make history by putting up such a strong performance at the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match, for which they totally deserve all the credit in the world.
