WWE News: Ultimate Deletion to take place on RAW next week

The
The Woken One takes on The Eater of Worlds next week!

What's the story?

This past week on Monday Night Raw it was announced that the Ultimate Deletion between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt would take place on Raw next week. Well, technically, the match is just set to be aired on Raw next week, as it has already been filmed.

In case you didn’t know…

Last week on Raw, Matt Hardy appeared on the titantron to assert the fans that the Great War between himself and the 'Consumer of Terrestrial Entities' Bray Wyatt was far from over. Hardy went on to say that the War could only culminate with an Ultimate Deletion at the Hardy Compound.

While it was originally believed that the Ultimate Deletion was set to take place at WrestleMania 34, it now looks like the fans will get to witness the match sooner than expected.

The heart of the matter

During the show, this past Monday, a preview of the Ultimate Deletion at the Hardy Compound was advertised. A vignette then aired, in which Matt Hardy was seen introducing his 'platoon' at the Hardy Compound including Queen Rebecca, Senor Benjamin, King Maxel, Lord Wolfgang and finally the drone Vangard1; and then vowed to vanquish Sister Abigail's soul.

Bray Wyatt then appeared on the screen to call Matt Hardy a liar, to and sent an ominous message to the 'Woken One', saying that it would be a real shame if something were to happen to his beautiful family.

After the segment, Kurt Angle would confirm that the match would take place next week and asked a petrified referee - Shawn Bennett - if he could officiate the match at the Hardy Compound next week.

What's next?

With the Ultimate Deletion set to air next week on Raw, it is not clear what WWE has in mind for the Hardy Boyz and Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. It will be a real shame if they are left out of the card.

Rumours have indicated that Jeff Hardy was present during the filming as well, but after his arrest two days ago, it is to be seen if Brother Nero will make an appearance or not.

Author's take

Matt Hardy experimented with something outrageous when he created the 'Broken' gimmick and struck gold! If nothing else, his effort and dedication towards the character have to be lauded.
