WWE News: United States Title match confirmed for next SmackDown Live

Always a fighting champion

If you've followed Baron Corbin long enough you should realize he hates losing. No matter if it's in or out of the ring the sting of defeat is never one The Lone Wolf will ever get used to.

When he was carrying around the Money In The Bank briefcase, many people assumed Baron Corbin would eventually be holding the WWE Championship. Although it's still not out of the realm of possibility when Corbin cashed in his MITB contract he was unsuccessful in defeating Jinder Mahal thanks to John Cena. Needless to say, The Lone Wolf wasn't very happy to not win.

Baron Corbin also wasn't happy when AJ Styles didn't seem to take him seriously. Baron wanted a shot at the US Title, but Tye Dillinger got there first and answered the US Title Open Challenge. Baron Corbin made sure that match had his handprints all over it.

When Tye Dillinger got a shot at the United States Title on the Las Vegas edition of SmackDown Live, it rubbed Baron Corbin the wrong way. Baron actually took some time to throw a threat on social media indicating he might invade the match and that's exactly what happened.

Although Corbin's attempt to stop the match was unsuccessful, his impression was certainly felt after the contest was over. After destroying Dillinger and Styles he grabbed the microphone and announced next week on SmackDown Live the United States Open Challenge was his for the taking.

It appears as though The Lone Wolf is getting what he wants because WWE made the match official.
