The Phenomenal One vs The Lone Wolf

What's the story?

The WWE Universe is heating up as we head toward Hell In A Cell and now there's a United States Championship match booked for the show. AJ Styles will finally put his title on the line against Baron Corbin, because he asked so nicely.

In case you didn't know...

Baron Corbin doesn't like to lose. Nobody really does like to lose, but "The Lone Wolf" is especially bad at it. He presses himself to be the best and won't let anything get in his way of getting what he wants.

AJ Styles is still one of the greatest pro wrestlers alive today and his accolades really don't need repeating. He's been dealing with Baron Corbin's wrath for a while now ever since shaking off Kevin Owens.

When Baron Corbin lost his Money In The Bank contract he immediately set his sights on AJ Styles' US Title on the SmackDown Live after SummerSlam.

The heart of the matter

It looks like Baron Corbin finally got what he wanted because after several weeks of going back and forth with AJ Styles he got a match for the US Title at Hell In A Cell.

The match was announced on this week's edition of SmackDown.

What's next

AJ Styles and Baron Corbin will probably have a very good match at Hell In A Cell. Corbin has improved a lot recently and AJ Styles is still one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time.

SmackDown Live has been built on opportunities like this since its inception. So this very well might be a chance for Baron Corbin to prove his potential.

Author's take

Whether Baron Corbin wins or loses at Hell In A Cell, hopefully, he'll still come off looking strong. But AJ Styles is very good at having a good match and rarely disappoints.
