Jason Jordan has been kept off this weekend's RAW live events by WWE

What’s the story?

As noted by Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jason Jordan is presently dealing with a neck injury.

In hot pursuit of the aforementioned banter, the WWE decided to not have Jordan perform at the live events over the weekend.

In case you didn’t know…

Jason Jordan has performed for the WWE’s developmental territories since 2011 and competed on the main roster since 2016.

The 29-year-old highly-regarded amateur wrestler is believed to be due for a big push in the WWE, as the promotional higher-ups reportedly have great expectations from Kurt Angle’s ‘son’.

The heart of the matter

Per veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Jason Jordan has been dealing with a neck injury that has been causing problems with his grip—something that’s perceived to be a serious warning sign by medical experts.

Accordingly, given the WWE’s strict athlete safety policies, WWE refrained from allowing Jordan to compete at the RAW-branded house shows over the weekend.

Furthermore, the vast majority of professional wrestling industry experts believe that Jordan’s injury issues could likely lead to significant changes in his alliance with Seth Rollins and the ensuing storylines involving the duo.

What’s next?

As of this writing, neither the WWE nor Jason Jordan has addressed his absence from the WWE house shows.

Sportskeeda will keep fans updated on Jordan’s physical status, as further details are revealed in the days to come.

Author’s take

Jason Jordan is one of the best athletes in the WWE today, and given that he’s only 29 years of age, it’s a tad disheartening to see a young competitor in the prime of his life get benched owing to injury issues.

Another young sports-entertainer who unfortunately had to end her in-ring career prematurely—Paige—dealt with neck issues of her own recently. Considering that, the WWE has indeed made the correct decision by resting Jordan and disallowing him from wrestling intense matches until he regains his health.
