WWE News: What happened after RAW went off air (May 15th, 2017)

Great speech from the Kingslayer

What’s the story?

In the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe was treated to a heartfelt speech from the ‘Architect’ Seth Rollins, after RAW went off the air.

In case you didn’t know...

Thanks to RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, Rollins has been given another shot at the Universal Championship and is scheduled to face Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt in a fatal five-way for the #1 Contender spot. It is believed that the winner will face current champion Brock Lesnar at RAW’s new PPV ‘Great Balls Of Fire’.

The heart of the matter

In one of the two main events on the latest episode of RAW, Seth Rollins faced off against the ‘Eater Of Worlds’ Bray Wyatt. The match ended in a DQ after Samoa Joe decided to interfere. However, the best was saved for last as the ‘Kingslayer’ made a heartfelt speech after RAW went off the air.

Basically, Rollins thanked the fans for all of their support and appreciation. He reminisced on how he had given a ‘Pedigree’ to Roman Reigns the last time he was in New Jersey and how the fans had thanked him for that.

He continued, saying he wasn’t ready for their appreciation back then, but he was on this night. He was ready to thank them for that support and he was ready to appreciate the WWE Universe for it.

You can watch the full speech above.

What’s next?

Fans have a lot to look forward to in terms of what Rollins’ next move will be. It’s pretty obvious that he is one of the fan favourites on Monday Night RAW and fans would love to see him win the Universal Championship.

So for now, the ‘Architect’ will concentrate and work toward the fatal five-way match at Extreme Rules for the #1 Contendership spot.

Author’s take

It’s great to see that Rollins is getting along well with the WWE Universe. However, I personally feel that Rollins was more popular and interesting to watch back when he was a heel and even though he has just turned face I personally, would like to see more of his dark side.
