What's the story?

Seth Rollins was the victim of a vicious attack by Brock Lensar at the end of Monday Night Raw, but the Royal Rumble winner wasn't kept down for long.

After Raw went off the air, Rollins made it back to his feet on his own power - ready to get revenge on his WrestleMania opponent.

In case you didn't know

Rollins won the 2019 Royal Rumble match and was told by Triple H to choose which champion he wanted to face at WrestleMania by the end of Raw.

Lesnar and Heyman mocked Rollins and told him to choose WWE Champion Daniel Bryan for his world title match, which lead to Rollins coming to the ring and brawling with the Universal Champion.

The heart of the matter

Rollins tried to hit the Curb Stomp on Lesnar, but the champion would catch him and land a series of F-5s.

Lesnar was about to leave after landing the fifth F-5, but Rollins' taunts brought him back to deliver the sixth F-5 as Raw went off the air.

After the show ended, Lesnar held the title above a motionless Rollins, stared at him and eventually left the arena.

Rollins was helped up by WWE personnel initially but refused to take their help in order to stand on his feet despite clearly reeling from the pain Lesnar inflicted on him.

Lesnar using multiple F-5s has become his staple for taking out big opponents since WrestleMania 34 when he defeated Roman Reigns to retain the title - after a year of beating wrestlers with one F-5.

Braun Strowman would be the next victim of the "F-5 attack" at Crown Jewel when Lesnar won the Universal Championship for a second time.

What's next?

Their match was confirmed after Raw went off the air, which means WWE will have the next two months to build to what many presume to be Rollins' next big victory.

Roman Reigns' is rumored to be mentioned heavily throughout the buildup to this program, but that is pure speculation.
