WWE News: WWE asks fans what Seth Rollins' new finisher should be named
Rollins unleashed a flying knee on Karl Anderson on Monday Night RAW.
What’s the story?
The WWE recently posted a video on its official site asking the fans what WWE Superstar Seth Rollins’ new finisher should be named.
In case you didn’t know…
Seth Rollins (Colby Lopez) aligned himself with The Authority back in 2014 and gradually the Pedigree – Triple H’s signature move – was bestowed upon him as a sign of goodwill by HHH and the McMahons.
However, after Triple H turned on Rollins in August of last year, the Architect turned babyface and engaged in a feud with his former mentor. This culminated in a match between the two at Wrestlemania 33 that saw Seth slay the King of Kings.
The heart of the matter
On a recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Rollins, who had been using the Pedigree despite being betrayed by Triple H, opted to refrain from using the move, and instead opted for a right knee to the face of his opponent – a move that many professional wrestling fans opine is similar to NJPW star Kenny Omega’s finisher.
WWE digital host Catherine Kelly presented the following question that WWE asked the WWE Universe in relation to the Kingslayer’s new finishing manoeuvre-
‘Seth Rollins set up for the Pedigree on RAW but instead unveiled a new signature move. What should he call it and why should every Superstar be intimidated?’
This Monday night on RAW, Rollins set Karl Anderson up for the Pedigree, but hesitated and then implemented the flying knee. Kelly acknowledged the fact that this was the very same move that Rollins had previously used against John Cena – a move that broke Cena’s nose.
Several fans have reportedly supported the Architect’s new signature move, with some of them going as far as to call it better than the Pedigree. Naturally, the WWE Universe is curious about what Rollins would call the yet-to-be-named signature move, with several fans chiming in with their own suggestions on social media.
Rollins is set to face Samoa Joe on Sunday, April 30th at WWE’s Payback PPV. Fans can expect the Kingslayer to use his new finishing move against his arch-rival.
Well, considering the fact that Seth legitimately broke Cena’s nose with his jumping-knee manoeuvre, I think it’s safe to assume that the WWE would look to choose an intimidating name for his new finishing move.
In my opinion, what better name for the Kingslayer’s finishing move than ‘The Kingslayer’?
