What's the story?

RAW Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan missed WWE's live event in Amarillo, Texas where he was scheduled to defend his titles alongside Seth Rollins against the team of Cesaro and Sheamus collectively known as The Bar. The match never happened since Jason Jordan failed to appear at the tapings so WWE was forced to put together another match that featured Rollins and Roman Reigns.

In case you didn't know...

Jason Jordan has been the makeshift replacement for former Shield member Dean Ambrose recently since The Lunatic Fringe isn't set to return to WWE now until August after suffering an arm injury at the hands of Samoa Joe a few weeks ago.

Jordan won the Tag Team Championships on Christmas Day when he helped Seth Rollins to defeat Cesaro and Sheamus and became the first ever triple crown Tag Team Champion after already lifting both the NXT and SmackDown Tag Team Championships in his short career.

Jordan was also unveiled as the illegitimate son of Raw General Manager Kurt Angle last year and has since been the subject of a huge push on the Raw roster.

The former SmackDown star has recently become the butt of a number of jokes as the newest member of The Shield and it is thought that his attitude could lead to a feud between him and his current Tag Team partner in the near future.

The heart of the matter

Rollins and Jordan were scheduled to defend their Championships against former Champions Cesaro and Sheamus at the live event in Texas but since Jordan failed to arrive that the tapings on Friday night, WWE were forced to put Shield members Rollins and Reigns in a handicap match against all three members of The Miztourage.

It seems that Rollins and Reigns didn't need Jordan to overcome the numbers game and easily defeated the trio before lifting their respective titles. Right now there is no word on why Jordan missed the tapings, but it had to be something urgent since WWE was forced to change plans last minute.

What's next?

Jason Jordan should be in attendance for Monday Night Raw tomorrow night since we are now less than two weeks away from The Royal Rumble where Jordan could be one of the participants in the main event where the winner earns the main event match at WrestleMania 34.

Authors take

It's not huge news that Jordan missed a live event, he could have been struggling with an illness or even had a family emergency. If he's on Monday Night Raw tomorrow night then it was just a minor issue, if he misses Raw then it could be something that many fans will want to investigate, which isn't the kind of attention Jordan wants at this point in his career with WrestleMania just around the corner.
