WWE News: WWE fans ask Mick Foley to give Summer Rae a chance; Foley responds

Foley has been a huge advocate for the elevation of women’s wrestling

Mick Foley has definitely not hidden the fact that he believes the women of WWE deserve to be elevated to the same level as the men are. With the women’s revolution in full fledge, it has given the hardcore legend a larger opportunity to be vocal about pushing the women.

With the much-deserved push the women on the roster are receiving, it must be noted that some women have been lost in the shuffle, none more so than Summer Rae. She was an announcer at NXT who then became a wrestler, and had a good body of work at NXT, even aligning with Sasha Banks and Charlotte at one point.

Recently, a few fans on twitter have spoken out to the Raw General Manager regarding the injustice they feel about the fact that a talent such as Summer Rae has been constantly rejected. Foley, of course, took heed and had a twitter exchange enquiring about Summer:

Foley also appreciated WWE’s loyal fans and tweeted he would watch the links he’d asked for.

Summer Rae is currently out of action with injury due to some nagging injuries to the back. She had recently visited Hong Kong to get therapy done, and she had done some cupping therapy.

Her last appearance was at Main Event against Sasha Banks. She was drafted to the Raw brand but has not been prominently featured at all. She was in the Wrestlemania 32 Kickoff show. In fact, she had wrestled for the first time in ages when WWE went to New Delhi, India this year, where she took on Charlotte on two consecutive nights.

Foley always listens to fans and acknowledges their opinions and criticisms, and there is no doubt that he would vocally advocate for Summer Rae to get more television time and a more prominent spot on Monday Night Raw.

Her athleticism, promo skills, and acting are quite understated. In short, her ability as a whole is underrated. She would definitely have a place on the Raw women’s roster.
