WWE News: WWE Hall of Famer's health is worsening

Wrestlinginc.com notifies that, WWE Hall of Famer, George ‘The Animal’ Steele is dealing with some health issues lately. Ted Dibiase Sr., another WWE Hall of Famer, confirmed via his Twitter account that ‘The Animal’ is actually unwell and asked the fans to pray for him :

George Steele started his wrestling career in the sixties. He has had some memorable matches in WWE. He would rarely utter a word, but when he did it was only "Duh-da-dahh". One of his most famous feuds in the company was with the ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage and the feud ignited when Steele developed a crush on Macho Man’s valet, Miss Elizabeth.

The feud attratced popular support and was let to continue for months. The Animal announced his retirement in 1988 due to Crohn’s disease, a bowel disease which has no cure but the effect can be remissioned. He was inducted in WWE Hall of Fame, class of 1995.

In most of his years as a WWE Superstar, Steele played the gimmick of a crazy heel, who behaved like an animal. In the later years, he became a fan favorite and left the company with the fans supporting ‘The Animal’.
