WWE News: WWE Superstar furious that he will be missing WrestleMania 35

What’s the story?

Having a match at WrestleMania is a dream for all the WWE Superstars. Some just want to be involved in one way or the other while the big-time stars want to be headlining it at the main event.

However, the WWE roster is so jam-packed right now that some might not get a chance to showcase their talent on the grandest stage of them all. This year, we already have one superstar confirming that he won't be on the show – Mike Kanellis.

In case you didn’t know…

Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis made their debuts in June 2017 were off TV very soon. Mike wrestled 4 times before heading for rehab while Maria got pregnant and went on a hiatus.

Mike made his return in April 2018 and he was drafted to RAW from SmackDown. He took on the likes of Chad Gable and Zack Ryder but things did not go well for him on the red brand and he swiftly moved to 205 Live.

The heart of the matter

There is a huge tournament going on at 205 Live to determine the #1 contender for Buddy Murphy's Cruiserweight Title but Kanellis is not a part of it. The former NJPW star has been told that he will have a match at 205 Live next week, however, it would not be a part of the tournament.

Mike Kanellis tweeted: “So I have a match next week & it’s not a tournament match.I’d like to say I’m surprised, but at this point, it’s just par for the course. Nice to know guys who aren’t even on the 205 roster get shots at Wrestlemania over me. I’m really sick of the blatant disrespect”

What’s next?

Rumours earlier this year suggested that Mike and Maria Kanellis had asked for their release but that was vehemently denied by Maria. Mike has shown interest in moving to NXT UK but no decision has been made on it just yet.
