What's the storyThe wrestling world, including other wrestling journalists, react to Chyna's Hall of Fame induction! In case you didn't know...Breaking news coming out of ESPN earlier this morning, and officially confirmed by WWE.com, that D-Generation X will be inducted into the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame. Having said that, this induction will also include the long awaited and much anticipated induction for Chyna. Chyna had previously been blacklisted from the WWE due to a fallout she had with the company in 2001, following a break-up between Triple H and her. Chyna unfortunately passed away on April 20th, 2016 from an overdose. The heart of the matterFollowing the breaking news announcement for the WWE Hall of Fame induction for D-Generation X, many wrestlers and pro wrestling journalists took the opportunity to voice their opinions and their excitement for Chyna finally getting her spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. Triple H was quoted by ESPN as stating the following as well in terms of Chyna entering the Hall of Fame as a part of DX, and shows great optimism for her going in as an individual WWE Superstar in the near future."Look, people believe what they want to believe. When I said a few years ago on the Austin podcast, or show, or whatever you want to call it, there's complexities around it," Levesque said. "But absolutely, definitely deserves to be in there. It'd be tough to pick a female that was more impactful on the business. She did something that was completely so out of left field that it wasn't even being considered when we first brought it up for her to come in. It wasn't even a consideration ... it wasn't an easy thing, and against all odds she did all of that. She earned everybody's trust. She won over the fans. She won over the boys. She did all of it."Congratulations Chyna, you were an absolute sweetheart to me in Scotland all those years ago. In another dream, maybe we will have that match.... pic.twitter.com/DZ40jMmVbv— Nikki Cross (@NikkiCrossWWE) February 18, 2019I’m glad Chyna is getting her place in the HOF!— Brutus Beefcake (@brutusbeefcake_) February 18, 2019We did it!!! SHE SHOULDN'T BE OVERSHADOWED.Some wrestling fans...if you gave them a $100 bill they complain they wanted 5, $20 bills.— Justin LaBar (@JustinLaBar) February 18, 2019I think that X-Pac and Chyna deserve to get inducted into the HOF on their own, but DX as a whole getting in might be the best compromise we're going to get for the latter.— 'The Influencer' Brian Zane (@zmanbrianzane) February 18, 2019I know not everyone across the board will be 100% happy but they SHOULD be thrilled Chyna will be inducted. Her major run was part of DX. This puts her in the time capsule forever. Her legacy gets to be celebrated. All good things.— Mike Johnson (@MikePWInsider) February 18, 2019What's next? You can catch the WWE Hall of Fame live on April 6th live at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, NYC. As of this post, D-Generation X will be the headlining act that will be inducted in the Hall of Fame, including the long awaited induction for the "Ninth Wonder of the World", Chyna. As always, continue to follow Sportskeeda for all the latest wrestling news and rumors and results!
