3.The Tag Team Scene
After a pretty average match, Carmella was in for some company from the NXT Tag Team Champions. And just when the Champions’ arrogance had skyrocketed, Carmella brought them back to Earth by getting the crowd all amped up with Enzo and Big Cass’ catchphrases. Carmella’s babyface turn looks complete. And the time is right to finally give the most popular tag team in NXT and two of the most charismatic speakers in the roster the championship titles.
4.The Hits and Misses Combination
Charlotte, right now, has nothing meaningful to do. She looks like she’s off to the main roster. There isn’t a better, more opportune time than now. Bayley on the other hand is one of the most popular characters on the NXT roster and she looks like the successor to Sasha Banks. Their opponents this week were Dana Brooke and Emma. The slow burn for heel Emma is great in her new avatar and it should bring forth her renaissance on the main roster. While Dana Brooke is still way below average when compared to any female performer on the show right now.
This hits and misses combination didn’t do the match any favours but it did bring forth the fact the women on the NXT roster get more storylines and character developments than the main roster still can’t provide.
5.Who’s Next?
Hideo Itami is out for at least six months. That makes Takeover’s match a one on one bout between Balor and Breeze. Breeze stood tall in the ring this week and heads into Takeover looking strong. Balor and Breeze had a lackluster talking segment before this match but there are huge things to be expected from this bout. As Balor’s main roster debut rumor gains steam, will Breeze make a return to the NXT main event scene? Will he finally catch a break and become the champion? If Balor wins at Takeover, losing again in the championship bout will do more harm than good. Is it finally Breeze’s time?
