WWE NXT: 4 Shocking botches you missed this week (27th November 2019)

This week's episode of NXT was pretty stacked

The NXT brand has had the best week in the history of their promotion, they stole the show with War Games on Saturday night, before many of their stars competed less than 24 hours later at Survivor Series and managed to win the battle for brand dominance.

Even though their biggest stars were able to work together as a team on Sunday night, Survivor Series was over and it was time for them to get back to what they do best. This week's show saw several feuds intensify, including the one surrounding the NXT Women's Championship between Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler.

Adam Cole's NXT Championship was also a main focus with Tommaso Ciampa and Finn Balor colliding in the main event with Balor shockingly becoming the man to one-up The Assasin before he once again turned on Adam Cole.

It was a week that was full of action, but shockingly for NXT, it was also a week that contained many interesting botches.

#4 Candice LeRae almost drops Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai could be one of the most hated female wrestlers in WWE at present after she turned on her longtime friend Tegan Nox at War Games and almost cost her team the match. This week, Tegan's friend Candice LeRae decided to step up and teach Kai a lesson, but it didn't exactly go to plan.

There was a scary moment between both women when they were positioned out on the apron and LeRae delivered a German Suplex that should have seen Kai bump on the side of the ring. LeRae was in the wrong position when she delivered the move, so both women fell to the floor and Kai completely missed the apron when making her landing.

#3 The whole attack from the Three Horsewomen

The women's division is full of talent right now, so WWE decided to showcase another women's match this week on NXT which included Xai Li up against Vanessa Bourne. The Vision was hoping to get some revenge for her friend Aliyah after she faced Li and was kicked so hard in the fact that it broke her nose.

Sadly for Bourne, revenge didn't go to plan since the distraction from Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir meant that Li was able to deliver a kick for the win. This wasn't the end of her night though since Three of the Four Horsewomen of MMA had come out to send a message to another woman in the locker room and this time it was Li.

The entire segment was botchy as a kick from Li failed to connect with Baszler, Jessamyn Duke ran in a few seconds too late and The NXT Women's Champion almost tripped over after delivering a clothesline.

It was a segment that built into Rhea Ripley challenging Shayna Baszler, so at least this ended much better than it began.

#2 Akira Tozawa isn't there for the stunner

Akira Tozawa came up short at Survivor Series when he was part of triple threat match for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, Tozawa represented Raw whilst Kalisto represented SmackDown and the Champion Lio Rush was able to retain his title and give NXT their first win of the night.

Tozawa was given a rematch one-on-one last night with the Champion on NXT in what was one of the highlights of the night. Rush and Tozawa worked well together as their styles clashed and the two men allowed their speed to be maintained throughout, but there was one shocking botch from the Champion.

Even though it seemingly wasn't Rush's fault, he hit Tozawa so hard that his gumshield came out and it meant that he was knocked to the floor. The next spot was Rush's springboard into a stunner, but Tozawa wasn't there which meant that Rush just fell on the floor.

The two men then jostled for a while before they were finally able to deliver the intended spot and finish the match, but it did look really scrappy from two of 205 Live's biggest stars.

#1 Kyle O'Reilly drops his own partner

Roderick Strong was forced to step in to replace his teammate
Roderick Strong was forced to step in to replace his teammate

The NXT Tag Team Championship match between The Undisputed Era, Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic kicked off last night's episode of NXT as two members of Team Ciampa at War Games decided to capitalize on their victory over The Undisputed Era.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly started out the match as they attempted to defend their titles against much bigger opposition, but shockingly it was Fish's own partner that later became the problem. Keith Lee dropped Fish to the outside in a Gorilla Press position and O'Reilly was the man who was expected to catch him but wasn't able to.

O'Reilly couldn't get his hands underneath his partner to catch him so instead, he fell down through his teammates grasp and onto his leg. It seemed like a nasty bump for Fish and when NXT returned from an ad break there had been a substitution and Roderick Strong had to come in to replace his teammate on medical grounds.

Strong and O'Reilly managed to finish the match and pick up the win, but it was obvious that Strong had no idea what the spots in the matches were since O'Reilly was having to call spots to him throughout.
