WWE NXT Results & Analysis - March 4 2015

WWE NXT, March, 4 2015 Taped from Full Sail University

A video package recapped Kevin Owens winning the NXT Championship, addressing next challenger Finn Bálor, and attacking Alex Riley during Bálor's match last week.

Tyler Breeze vs. Adam Rose

It was a short match that was surprisingly one sided that saw Rose display much of his trademark moves before he was met with a Beauty Shot out of nowhere giving Breeze the victory.

Blake and Murphy vs. Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton in a non-title match.

Fulton got the better of Murphy early with some offense, but Blake tagged in and took control after a double leapfrog back elbow. Fulton rocked Blake with an uppercut and Dawkins got the hot tag. He came in firing, but after a distraction from the apron, he ate a dropkick. Blake and Murphy hit their running suplex and frog splash combination for the win

Baron Corbin vs. Tony Briggs.

Briggs showed some confidence, but Corbin put him right down with a right hand. Corbin hit the End of Days for the win The camera settled onto the commentary booth where Kevin Owens was standing behind Alex Riley. Albert and Brennan tried to keep the situation calm, but Kevin Owens grabbed a water bottle off the desk and dumped it over Riley's head. Riley fired up and hit in Owens's face. Albert restrained him and Owens calmly turned his back on Riley and walked backstage.

Solomon Crowe vs Bull Dempsey

Dempsey dominated much of the match while Crowe managed to get in short bursts of offense, at one point even body slamming the big man. In the final moments Bull sought to end it with a flying headbutt which Crowe avoided, laid out Dempsey and finished him with a diving splash.

A video package of Sami Zayn aired He said that he still hasn't watched the footage of what Owens did to him, but he will before he comes back and maybe then he'll be able to say everything that needs to be said.

Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks for the NXT Women's Championship

The action was fast and furious and back and forth, but as the match wore on it seemed to be swaying more and more in the favor of Charlotte. In the end she attempted a Natural Selection off the top turnbuckle but Banks held tight to the ropes sending Charlotte crashing to the mat. Banks then rolled her up for the pin with her feet on the ropes for added leverage.

Full Analysis

One again NXT delivered, The main event between Charlotte and Shasha Banks was downright fantastic and was on par with their last PPV match. It is worth noting that how seriously the Divas Division is being taken in WWE's developmental, Kudos to Sara Del Ray and Triple H. On a positive note, the Alex Riley & Kevin Owens feud is worth looking forward to, plus the evolution of Sami Zayn after being decimated at last NXT special. Sami holding off on his return is an interesting idea as it allows Kevin Owens to go through Riley and Balor before we get back to the big time feud that a lot of people really want to see.

Overall this was much better than last week which seems to have been an aberration. It's amazing what happens when you do stuff that matters instead of just filler for an hour. This is the fallout period from Rival before we start building to the next Takeover, which means we should be coming up on some big shows soon.
