NXT Title scene set to get a massive revamp?

Who is the next #1 contender?

– NXT has been a developmental show for the WWE but has gone place since its inception. NXT has won the hearts of many fans with its pulsating action and interesting storylines. Finn Balor won the NXT Championship from Kevin Owens a few months back and has been defending it for months now.

Balor has an aura around him not helped in the least by that mystifying entrance of his. There have been calls for Balor to debut on the main roster for a long time, which would be a treat for all wrestling fans.

Finn Balor defended his title against the likes of Apollo Crews, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and others. Balor is yet to drop the title and does not seem likely to happen soon as he has firmly established his image as the face of NXT. There is also a huge talk of Balor reuniting with his ex-team mates, the Bullet Club, and it looks to be seen whether that will impact the NXT title scene.

A number 1 contender’s match was taped at the recent NXT tapings to be aired on 17th February between Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe which ended in a draw with a double pin. Regal also announced a 2 falls out of 3 match for these two competitors on 27th January show. The number one contender is set to face Balor at NXT Takeover Dallas during the Wrestlemania 32 weekend.
