WWE Rumours: WWE's partner confirms new PPV event

Is this the confirmation we need that Clash of Champions is coming back?

As reported earlier, WWE are reportedly bringing back some of their old pay-per-view events as they prepare to bring their brand split back into play this July 19th, with a rumoured schedule of events surfacing on social networking sites Twitter and Reddit.

The leaked image seemed to have kicked a hornets nest, opening the floodgates for further speculation, the latest being that Sky Italia, one of WWE’s major European partners, supposedly confirming the list.

The months of September, October and December look to be crucial, as the list points out that brand-specific shows are set to go on the floors during this period.

Booking giant TicketMaster also played their part in fueling speculation by listing a September 25th PPV event as ‘Clash of Champions’, which is also listed on the leaked sheet.

Clash of Champions, of course, is the name of the old WCW pay-per-view, and replaces what was formerly known as Night of Champions in the WWE.

WWE, on their part, have done nothing to confirm or dispel the rumours, so expect the speculation to continue until an official announcement is made.
