This spot was going to be saved for Dominik Mysterio possibly betraying Rey Mysterio. However, with WWE already advertising a match between Rey and Seth Rollins for the episode of RAW after WWE Payback 2020, it seems extremely unlikely that a possible Mysterio betrayal could take place this Sunday.
Over on SmackDown, we saw Matt Riddle pick up a comfortable victory against Shorty G on the go-home episode of the blue brand’s show before WWE Payback 2020.
This time last year, Shorty G was involved in a heated rivalry with King Corbin in the King of the Ring tournament on RAW, yet he now finds himself doing his former rival’s dirty work for him in a storyline that, in all honesty, is not doing anybody any favors.
We have seen in the past that WWE has quickly dropped storylines when they are not working, so it would not be at all surprising to see Shorty G have a change of heart by choosing to side with Riddle instead of Corbin at WWE Payback 2020.
