Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio have played their roles extremely well over the last few months, but the one thing they are missing ahead of WWE Payback 2020 is a meaningful victory over Seth Rollins.
The Monday Night Messiah defeated Rey Mysterio in an Eye for an Eye match at Extreme Rules, while he also picked up the win last week when he faced the debuting Dominik Mysterio in a Street Fight at SummerSlam.
Heading into WWE Payback 2020, it feels like now is the right time for the Mysterios to record a PPV win over Rollins and Murphy, with a victory possibly setting them up for a RAW Tag Team Championship run in the future.
That would also allow Dominik to remain on WWE television in a new storyline with his father after they have finished feuding with Rollins.

Side note: WWE has already confirmed that Rollins and Rey Mysterio will go one-on-one on Monday's episode of RAW, so WWE Payback 2020 will not mark the end of this rivalry.
