WWE Raw goes old school this week

With Wrestlemania 29 just 34 days away, this week’s WWE Raw goes old school for one night only at Buffalo, New York. Several WWE legends are bound to appear on the show and the feuds heat up as we head towards grandest stage of them all. So, what’s in store for us on the show?

WWE Raw goes old school this week

Old School Theme

The last time WWE Raw went Old School was in November 2010. The whole show was in a old school theme with vintage Raw theme and titantron. Even Mark Henry came out in his ‘Sexual Chocolate’ avatar from the attitude era. We can expect something on similar lines on this week’s show. Several legends and old-timers such as Ric Flair, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Dusty Rhodes and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan have been confirmed to be a part of the show. Raw will definitely feature a few surprise returns too. As Jim Ross rightly puts it, “I expect Monday’s RAW to have ample amounts of ‘surprise’ elements, particularly with some of the returning old school talents and how they are utilized and a definitive feel as to what we can expect to experience at WM29. In addition, thanks to some of the ‘Legends’ in attendance, I would expect to see some, hopefully, timely humor infused into the show.”

Undertaker’s return imminent?

Though WWE has confirmed the dead man’s return in a house show last week on Raw, this old school raw might be the perfect opportunity to bring him back on the show and pit him in a feud with CM Punk. Punk’s promo last week was a clear indicator of things to come. We might see their 2009 feud reignite on this week’s Raw. With Punk losing a great match to John Cena last week, we might see the voice of the voiceless move on to new and better things on the road to Wrestlemania 29.

Time to play the Game

Triple H returned to Raw last week and had an explosive face off with Brock Lesnar. With the Game confirming his presence on this week’s show along with the New Age Outlaws, there is an expectation that he will deliver a promo regarding his return and we may even get a confirmation about his match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Also, there is speculation that his DX partner and best buddy Shawn Michaels might be a part of the show.

The Rock on Raw

The WWE Champion will be on Raw after a week’s hiatus. What will be have in store for his challenger for his title at Wrestlemania 29 – John Cena? What does Cena have to say about his impending clash with the Rock? We will find out on Raw.

The Shield’s targets fixed?

Randy Orton and Sheamus seem to be heading on a collision course with The Shield over the past couple of weeks. The Big Show turned out to be the spoiler in this rivalry by knocking out Roman Reigns on last week’s Smackdown to enable Sheamus and Orton get the upper hand. The Shield will not go easy on the Big Show after that debacle. Here’s what Roman Reigns tweeted recently,

Besides, Reigns also sent out a cryptic tweet yesterday. The Shield seems to have something planned for the show.

We will get to know about the Shield’s plans on the show.

Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter

Zeb Coulter has been creating controversy over the past few weeks with his remarks about immigrants. What issue does he bring to the forefront on this week’s show? Also, it will be interesting to see the build up to the rivalry between Swagger and Alberto Del Rio on the show. The Old School raw might be infused into the theme of this feud in some way or the other to widen the reach of this feud.

Be a part of nostalgia as WWE goes back to the future on Raw.
