WWE RAW: 5 Potential finishes for The Miz vs Bobby Lashley - WWE Championship

There are several different options for WWE this coming week on RAW

Somehow in 2021, The Miz has found a way to once again become WWE Champion, but his title reign could be a short one since Bobby Lashley is the man in his path next week on WWE RAW.

The Miz made a deal with The CEO of The Hurt Business and MVP, which saw Lashley attack Drew McIntyre following Elimination Chamber, before The Miz cashed in his contract and gladly took the title.

Whilst The Miz was able to avoid a match with Lashley for the night on WWE RAW this past week, Adam Pearce made it clear that he would be forced to defend the title and follow through on his promise this coming week.

It's hard to imagine that The Miz will be able to overcome the threat of the former MMA star in a one-on-one match. But this is WWE, and stranger things have happened.

#5. The Miz retains his WWE Championship

It's perhaps the most unlikely outcome on this list, but The Miz has proved many times throughout his lengthy career that he's not a man that can be overlooked. The Awesome star was able to claim back his Money in the Bank contract last year after unsuccessfully cashing it in at TLC, and could be set to pull off another interesting swerve next week on RAW.

The current WWE Champion has known for the past week that he is facing Bobby Lashley, which has given him plenty of time to prepare for the match and call whoever he needs in order to have some backup.

The Miz is nothing if not resourceful. Whilst it's very unlikely that the WWE Champion will be able to pin Lashley on his own, given the star's recent run of form, WWE could be about to swerve their fanbase one more time.

It will be interesting to see if The Miz has any backup other than John Morrison, who is reportedly struggling with a knee injury as of writing. What is known at this present moment in time is that The Miz definitely needs a plan B if he's hoping to leave The ThunderDome on Monday night with the company's most decorated Championship.

#4. Bobby Lashley becomes WWE Champion

Bobby Lashley has been destined to become WWE Champion ever since he made his return to WWE back in 2018. The former MMA star has brushed aside competition in recent months and has even been protected by the company in a way that no other star has in 2021.

Somehow, WWE was able to prepare Lashley for this match by taking away his United States Championship at Elimination Chamber, but still allowed him to look strong.

The most interesting scenario that could happen here is for Lashley to have a similar match to the one between Brock Lesnar and Kofi Kingston, where he brushes aside The Miz in seconds and walks out with the title. Lashley only has to hit a suplex and a spear and Miz would be ripe for the pin and the CEO of The Hurt Business would be WWE Champion.

It's hard to see The Miz standing any kind of chance against Lashley if this is a straight one-on-one match. Especially if the WWE Champion hasn't put a backup plan in place to ensure that he's able to keep his hands on his Championship.

#3. Drew McIntyre interferes in the WWE Championship match

Drew McIntyre was the victim back at WWE Elimination Chamber when he was forced to overcome five other men inside one of the company's most brutal matches. But that still wasn't enough.

McIntyre was then beaten by Bobby Lashley before The Miz made his way out to the ring to pick up the scraps and take away his WWE Championship. McIntyre wasn't on RAW this past week, perhaps in order to sell his injuries after the beating that he endured. But it's hard to imagine that he won't be in attendance on Monday night.

It's likely that the former champion will interfere in the match in one way or another and either cause the disqualification or attack both men to make it a no-contest. This could then lead to a triple threat match at Fastlane where The Miz is the man who is pinned and Lashley and McIntyre are then free to go on and wrestle at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship.

Rumors suggest that The Miz won't be part of the WrestleMania WWE Championship match, so this could be an interesting way to write him out.

#2. Bad Bunny costs The Miz his WWE Championship

Bad Bunny has had issues with The Miz since he made his debut on WWE TV back at The Royal Rumble. The 24/7 Champion has been rumored to be training at WWE's Performance Center ahead of a potential WrestleMania tag team match, which could pit the musician and Damian Priest up against The Miz and John Morrison.

There hasn't been much build for this match in recent weeks, since WWE seem focused on making The Miz a transitional champion, but this feud could take a turn this coming week on RAW.

If Bad Bunny is the man who costs The Miz his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley, then that would easily lead to a match between the two men in the near future.

Bunny attacked The Miz and John Morrison at The Royal Rumble, but the story doesn't seem to have developed much since then. Hopefully, there's a way to push it forward this week on RAW, so that Damian Priest can be guaranteed his first WrestleMania match.

#1. The Miz gets himself disqualified in order to keep the WWE Championship

The Miz has been WWE Champion in the past and knows what it takes to keep hold of his Championship. With an obstacle the size of Bobby Lashley in his way, The Miz has to be thinking of a plan to get him past The Almighty.

This could include allowing John Morrison to get involved in order to get disqualified, because a Championship can't change hands on a DQ. The Miz could even refuse to be part of the match and exit the ring in order to lose the match via count-out.

This could then lead to a match between Lashley and The Miz at Fastlane instead, where The Miz would be forced to be part of the match and the added stipulation would be that the WWE Championship could change hands on a count-out.

This particular strategy would definitely be right out of The Miz's playbook and would allow him to hold the WWE Championship for longer, whilst also letting Lashley remain the strong challenger.
