Kurt Angle is a really big deal in Pittsburgh. Maybe as big as the Harts are in Canada.
And therefore, taking him out in front of an adoring crowd created a shocking moment for the fans that will remember with much dread. It has earned him heat and notoriety that people will talk about for a long time.
Maybe this is the way that Bray Wyatt will go in the months that follow- he will end up attacking hometown heroes in their hometowns. I mean wasn't the idea of Angle returning to referee a match between Drew McIntyre and Cedric Alexander weak, to begin with?
And unless this segment happened, it would be pointless. I hope that if this is indeed the way forward, WWE builds up the reason for legends appearing on the show in a better manner, so that we don't predict these attacks coming.
