The main event was set midway through the show, as the returning Rusev was scheduled to challenge Seth Rollins for his Universal Championship. The match was going well with some remarkable spots before the unexpected happened.

Right before the main event was about to start, the cameras showed a limo entering the arena, keeping fans guessing, as they pondered who was inside. The result was quite surprising, as 'The Almighty' Bobby Lashley made his return to the ring.

If this was not enough, Lashley gestured toward the entrance and then Lana made her return as well. This led to the revelation that she is having an affair with Lashley, as a disappointed Rusev looked on while his wife embraced another man.

While we will all be waiting to see where this story goes, ending the Hell in a Cell Go-Home Show like this would not have been ideal. Enter The Fiend, who immediately took Seth Rollins out with a mandible claw. The focus was appropriately shifted to Hell in a Cell's main event.
