I mean no disrespect to Erik and Ivar when I say this, but their gimmick is far too based in fantasy to connect with the WWE Universe. The two men are incredible performers, but as we have seen in the past unless one has a very strong connection with the WWE Universe, no amount of in-ring skills will honestly get you over.
The Street Profits speak the language of the streets, while The Viking Raiders speak in the manner that a tag team from the 80s would. This is not a bad thing at all, but it is clear as day who the more popular team is among the two and who should, therefore, be involved in the tag title picture.

Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
And this does not necessarily mean that The Viking Raiders will have nothing to do. Maybe they could mix it up with The OC, who made quite a triumphant return to RAW on this week's show.
Maybe they could even take on The AOP in a non-title feud, going forward. Saving Kevin Owens on this week's show may have set one or more of these plotlines in motion.
