This episode of RAW is guaranteed to be a winner

In the year 2019, you make an occasion out of almost everything. While this should have been yet another episode of RAW, this episode is being billed as a 'Season Premiere', and we're likely to see a new theme song plus the welcome return of pyro.

A great number of special attractions have already been announced for the show. In the past, WWE has been guilty of making announcements that do not necessarily deliver during the actual show, but this is a problem that can easily be overcome with surprises.

So, here are 5 surprises that could actually happen on the show this week, and I invite you to weigh in, in the comments section. Which of these surprises do you think could very likely happen?

Also, which of these surprises do you think should happen, for the product to go to the next level?

#5 Cedric Alexander becomes the United States Champion

Cedric Alexander has come up short against AJ Styles in the past and one could certainly argue that for him to do so again would be a very major blow for him. The two men are slated to face each other for the United States Championship, and I do believe that this time there's a big chance that Alexander could potentially come out on top.

With Cedric Alexander as the United States Champion, he could perhaps be drafted to SmackDown Live, while Shinsuke Nakamura moves to RAW bringing the Intercontinental Championship with him. This would certainly shake things up to a great extent and Alexander would have the eyes of the world upon him, on SmackDown.

Styles will always be a top star in WWE, and the loss doesn't hurt him. It would actually elevate him into the Universal Championship picture, going forward.

#4 Bobby Lashley returns to confront Lesnar

More often than not, fans make dream pairings and start rumors online about a certain Superstar facing another. Well, Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar rumors have been around for a really long time now, and from the looks of it, Lashley has always been one to further these rumors through social media posts. Not only do the two men size up physically (which is no mean feat for the ordinary human being), both of them have backgrounds in Mixed Martial Arts making for an interesting match-up.

Lesnar is scheduled to appear on the red brand, and there's absolutely no reason for him to show up ordinarily. It does seem like the blue brand will be his home, going forward, because he's the favorite in the clash against Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship on the premiere of WWE SmackDown on FOX. But what if, while Paul Heyman is cutting a promo and Brock Lesnar is bouncing around with a malicious grin on his face, we see Bobby Lashley show up, making a big return from injury?

This could be the main feud of SmackDown on FOX after Kingston vs. Lesnar is over for good.

#3 The Fiend attacks Rey Mysterio

Bray Wyatt said in the Firefly Fun House that he didn't like to share and ended up attacking Rollins' opponent, Braun Strowman in the main event of RAW last week. This week, Rollins goes up against one of the greatest of all time, Rey Mysterio, in what should be a clash for the ages, between two of the greatest to lace up a pair of boots.

Which means that if Mysterio is on the verge of winning this match, there's a big chance that The Fiend interferes and ensures that Mysterio will not win the said contest. This also makes sense in a way because The Fiend has been attacking legends, and if you consider how long Mysterio has been doing what he does, it's hard to dispute that he is a legend.

Maybe his son Dominick gets involved in this demonic fracas as well and ends up eating a Mandible Claw as well, as a result of the same. It would make things very personal between The Fiend and Rey Mysterio and the two men could have a great feud in the weeks that follow.

Maybe it could even be for the Universal Championship.

+#2 The Fiend attacks Hogan and Flair

Of course, this is the other possibility that could potentially transpire on the Season Premiere of WWE RAW this week. The Fiend has been running through every legend who dares to show up on RAW, having applied the Mandible Claw to Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, and Jerry 'The King' Lawler. It's a safe move that even legends can take because it does not involve a bump, in the truest sense of the word.

Kane was the latest victim, and as we saw from the Firefly Fun House, there's an empty photo frame which indicates that he's not done with his victims. Now, we know that Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair will be at RAW for an edition of Miz TV, and I daresay that this is the perfect stage for The Fiend to attack the legends. Maybe this even leads to a short-term storyline with The Miz, this time as the babyface, taking the fight to Bray Wyatt, who's playing the monstrous heel.

With all due respect to the legends before him, attacking Hogan and Flair is much bigger news than anything The Fiend has done thus far. And I'm sure neither man will mind at this stage of their career.

#1 AoP crashes the Tag Team Titles match

We've all seen the vignettes and I believe that the consensus is that Akam and Rezar look absolutely murderous in their brand new personas. It's only a question of when they move from the backstage area to the ring, to remind the WWE Universe that they are truly the most dominant heel tag team in the entire roster.

There's no better time to introduce new players than the Season Premiere of RAW when Akam and Rezar could come out to the ring and become pivotal players in the tag team scenario, in the days and weeks that will follow. And there's no better match to interfere in than the one between the Champions Ziggler and Roode against Heavy Machinery for the RAW Tag Team Championships.

Some of you may say that it may make more sense for them to cut more promos in the backstage area before they make their debuts on screen. I would like to, in turn, point out the case of Aleister Black, who kept cutting the backstage promos and it did not benefit him at all.

Let's hope that the AoP gets used to their fullest potential this week.
